Understanding & Interpreting the Report
Personality predicts job success
For years psychologists turned to cognitive ability as a predictor of job performance: The more intelligent people were considered to be the more likely they were to succeed in a job. But intelligence alone is only part of the story, say researchers.
Personality, rather than intelligence, is a more accurate predictor of job success.

Snapshot description – Classical Patterns
A section of the report is entitled:
A snapshot of you based on the interaction of the four DISC traits
This ‘snapshot’ is the DISC ‘Pattern’ or ‘Classical Pattern’ relating to that individual.
To explain – As you will appreciate there are literally thousands of different combinations of graph scores. Therefore to help interpretation, communication and understanding, researchers and experts in DISC have defined – through statistical analysis of the graph combinations – what are known as ‘Patterns’ or ‘Classifications’.
Therefore the ‘snapshot’ is the DISC classical pattern and is based on the relationship – the interaction and blend – of the DISC traits.
Important! Candidate will have to take the test again!
There are three patterns of response that occur very rarely. This happens when people do not answer in a spontaneous and uninhibited way. In these instances it is necessary for the questionnaire to be completed again. Ask the test-taker:
● To be reactive rather than reflective.
● Not to think too hard about the implications of his or her answers.
● To be spontaneous.
● To remember that there are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers.
The Three Results:
1. When responding to the questions the test-taker placed a low value on all four of the personality traits measured.
2. When responding to the questions the test-taker placed an equal value on all four of the personality traits measured.
3. When responding to the questions the test-taker placed a high value on all four of the personality traits measured.
You will be advised in the PDF report that it is necessary for the test to be re-taken.
Understanding & Interpreting the Report
With consideration for ‘best practice’, the report has been designed by the team at Personality Test Solutions to specifically meet the needs and preferences of
your organisation.
The report provides scores and narratives for the DISC traits and a summarising snapshot of the individual based on the DISC ‘Pattern’ or Classification’.
It has been designed to be user-friendly and to provide ‘feedback’ to the test-taker in a non-threatening way and in everyday language.
The narrative ‘talks’ directly to the test-taker – e.g. You have a strong inner motivation to attain personal goals and you enjoy competition and challenge. You like to be independent….
